Frequenters of [info]milou_veronica (hello) may have noticed that I've given it a new Minimalism layout. As consequence, I've lost my layout-making mojo and this may be my last post for a while.

layout: just because the sky turned from gray
style: smooth sailing
accounts: Basic, Paid, and Sponsored
features:custom comment pages, mini icons, sidebar
browsers: IE7, FF, Safari, and Opera

installation

01.

Choose Journal Style

02.

Select a Smooth Sailing layout in "Select a New Theme"

03.

In Choose a Page Setup, set your add settings to Horizontal or Between Entries, then select 2 Column (sidebar on right)

04.

Go to " Display ".Under in Basic Options, set "Userinfo Position in Entries" to Left side of the entry text. Then click the on Additional Options. Set "Wrap Entry text under userinfo" to No.

05.

Then go to the "Sidebar " section. To add your free text, click on Free Text Sidebox and put your text in one of the boxes. Make sure that the box position is unique.

06.

Still in "Customise your Theme", go to "Custom CSS ". Ensure Use layout's stylesheet(s) is set to no

07.

Paste code into the Custom Stylesheet box.

I love this, but I am sad to hear about this "layout mojo being lost" thing. You are indeed one of my favorite makers. :(

(Also, if you don't mind could I please ask where you got the icons for the layout currently on milou_veronica? sidebar and comments. Thanks!)

I hate when stuff like that happens, lol.
And I actually have a question for you, are you maybe one day going too release the current layout for this journal too the public?

I would like to release it, but as I'm a bit CSS-stupid, I'm still trying to hack it down into something that I can fit the comment pages in properly. It's my fault for changing almost all the links I can into pictures.

This is just gorgeous!! I really love this and the new journal layout you have for [info]milou_veronica~♥ They're both just drop dead gorgeous.

I'll be adding this my memories and, hopefully, using as soon! ♥ Thank you for taking the time and energy in making these gorgeous layouts and hopefully you'll get your mojo back soon!

I love the new layout! I've been wanting to attempt a new Minimalism layout for a while, but I can't muster up the courage. :F

The layout looked "right" (like the preview) once I selected the ad placement to be between entries, not horizontal. I'm using Chrome.

Another beautiful layout!

I just wanted to mention quick a slight error, at least in FF, that I've found in your layouts. The pencil/edit icon doesn't change. I think this is due to the img src being: img[src="http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/pencil.gif"]

instead of:
img[src="http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/btn_edit.gif"]

I'm not sure if anyone else is having the problem, but it's just something I noticed when I applied the code to my journal. Didn't mean to pester, and keep up the fantastic work!

Oh, thank-you so much! I don't have a paid account, so it completely slipped my mind that you can edit you comments. The "pencil" replacement is actually for logging in while commenting (you'll see it if you click "other" next to Logged in user:).

I'll go fix that right away. Thank-you. May be sometime before I get around to the other layouts though.
